Frequently Asked Questions
How often do I need to be visiting the dentist?
If your oral health is generally good, we recommend scheduling a checkup and cleaning every six months, or twice each year. If our team determines that you’re struggling with a chronic condition, such as overly sensitive teeth that are more prone to decay or periodontal (gum) disease, more frequent visits may be recommended for the sake of both your dental and overall wellbeing.
What’s the best way to replace my missing teeth?
Truthfully, there’s no “best” way that will work for every single patient. Dr. Noble will assess the condition of your entire mouth to determine the restorative treatment options that are best suited to your specific situation. While dental implants are a durable and esthetic option, the cost and time commitment involved may not work for every single patient. In these cases, dental bridges and dentures (both traditional and implant-supported) are also available at our San Antonio, TX practice.
During your initial consultation, our team will work with you to determine your reconstructive needs, your current level of oral health, and your personal preferences regarding your tooth replacement solution. We want to find the option that fits you best!
Will my dental crown or other restoration look unnatural?
It doesn’t have to! Our team offers all-ceramic, metal-free materials for our restorative work in order to help patients preserve their complete, natural-looking smile. The result is exceptionally lifelike – your new dental additions will even reflect light in the same way as the original enamel!
Can you improve the way my smile looks?
Definitely. Dr. Noble offers a wide variety of cosmetic dentistry services that are designed to erase common flaws and leave your teeth shining brightly once more. Teeth whitening can get rid of noticeable stains and discoloration, while porcelain veneers and direct bonding can hide chips, cracks, and even gaps between teeth seamlessly. During your initial consultation, we’ll do our best to fully understand your current needs and goals and formulate the most fulfilling smile makeover plan possible.
I’m experiencing pain in my jaw and face. Can you help?
Chronic discomfort in the face and jaw are common symptoms of TMJ disorder. Please schedule a checkup as soon as possible with Dr. Noble – he can carefully inspect your jaw joints and determine whether any aggravation is occurring. Effective therapies are available if needed, including customized oral appliances and occlusal adjustment.
Do you see dental emergencies?
Yes! Don’t hesitate to contact our practice right away if you or a family member is experiencing a broken tooth, severe toothache, or other emergency situation. We’ll welcome you in as soon as we possibly can.
Do you take my insurance?
We’re in-network for a variety of PPO insurance plans, and any and all paperwork will be filed on your behalf by our team in order to help maximize your available benefits. To learn more about the financial aspects of your care, visit our new patients page.
